Cedars staff work to ensure that residents and participants are supported to live a self-directed life and are treated with dignity and respect.

As the Supervisor you will be responsible for the general oversight of the day-to-day functions of the building and will provide assistance and support to residents in a manner that ensures their health, safety and happiness. The Supervisor will support the Manager to ensure a home-like atmosphere that reflects respect and caring for residents and staff. Supervisor provides leadership and management to staff and is the liaison for families and monitors compliance with Title 17, Title 22 when the manager is not there.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide general support, feedback and oversight to all direct support professional staff based on established standards of practices relative to supporting residents in their homes.

2. Provide support and assistance with household management including laundry, meal preparation and housekeeping, and yard maintenance.

3. Assist residents with all activities of daily living and independent living skills, including, but not limited to personal grooming and hygiene.

4. Reinforce and assist individuals with achieving IPP/ISP goals as well as collection and communication of data as specified in the IPP/ISP.

Job Qualifications:

1. Experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities is helpful.

2. Willingness to teach and guide adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities while helping individuals to lead positive, productive lives.

3. Ability to work well as a part of a group or as part of a team of leaders. Flexibility in varied job assignments

4. Willingness to pitch in when/where needed.

5. CA drivers license and clean DMV record

6. Ability to drive a passenger van

7. Upbeat, positive attitude and good sense of humor a plus.

8. Ability to communicate effectively in English (speaking and writing)

9. Good computer skills

10. Demonstrated ability to manage time

11. Excellent attendance and punctuality.

12. Must be able to pass all required pre-hire screening checks,
