We are a well-established, highly regarded periodontics practice located in the heart of Union Square, San Francisco. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional periodontal and implant care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
Assist the periodontist during surgical procedures (e.g., implant placement, grafts, extractions, etc.)
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatory rooms
Take digital x-rays and intraoral photos
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Ensure OSHA and infection control compliance
Provide pre-op and post-op care instructions to patients
Qualifications
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in California preferred
Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience, with at least 1 year in surgical or periodontic settings
Current CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude
