JOB DESCRIPTION
The Program Instructor provides collaborative leadership to students within the Cardiovascular Sonography program and serves as the liaison between students and college staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Teach department's curriculum and oversee new development
Assist Admissions with product knowledge
Implement retention programs
Create student engaging teaching methods to achieve high student/graduate success
Work with instructors and students to maximize student's readiness for job placement
Stay informed of industry standards and incorporate into program offerings accordingly
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of educational environments including needs of adult learners
Ability to provide a positive and effective learning environment
Knowledge and understanding of professional career paths for which students are enrolled
Motivation, dedication, and enthusiasm for teaching
Credentials and Experience:
Appropriate credential(s) specific to the concentration(s) offered
The equivalent of three years minimum full-time clinical experience as a general sonographer, cardiac sonographer, and/or vascular technologist; and
An academic degree, not lower than an associate degree, and at least equal to that for which the students in the program are being prepared.
Education & Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in Cardiovascular Sonography/Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or equivalent
Licensure/Certification
Minimum Required: ARDMS
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Cardio and/or vascular
Compensation: $80k annual and up (depending on experience) + Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, matching 401k, PTO, and more!
