The Bilingual HR & Safety Representative (English/Spanish) will provide administrative support to the Human Resources and Safety departments, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, benefits, training, and maintaining records. This role will support company processes related to employment, timekeeping, audits, and records, and may compile statistics for various management reports. Additionally, the representative may conduct pre-employment screening interviews, check references, and respond to routine questions on company policies, ensuring effective communication with both English and Spanish-speaking employees.
This position is based on-site at our Half Moon Bay location and is not eligible for remote work. Please note that we are seeking local candidates as relocation assistance is not available. Applicants must reside in the surrounding area or have plans to relocate independently.
At all times maintain the confidentiality of Human Resources information and confidential data.
Create new hire files and maintain current and archived employee files.
Maintains current and archived I-9’s
Be a positive team member of the Human Resources and Safety departments.
Pull reports from HRIS system as requested from different departments.
Maintain good record keeping of employee files.
Participate in group and individual training and development classes, seminars and summits as required.
Conduct New Hire Orientation and Onboarding
Support Open Enrollment
Ensure the integrity of all data entered into the payroll system and ensure proper documentation of all payroll transactions.
Processes missed time clock punches and PTO into the HRIS System
Able to respond to questions related to HR policies.
Supports Safety and Food Safety departments with task including sampling, records keeping, reporting, workers compensation and enforcement.
Tracks completion of safety trainings and inspections.
Participate in safety committee meetings and records meeting minutes.
Assists in distribution of COIs, insurance cards, training material, checks and other.
Works with safety manager to audit company safety programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Range: $67,000 to $75,000 The compensation range for this role is determined by factors such as location and required skills. The salary range provided reflects the lowest to highest amount we reasonably anticipate paying for this position at the time of posting. Compensation is influenced by labor market conditions and various factors, including but not limited to: the prevailing minimum wage in the area, relevant education, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue targets, and business needs. It is not typical for a new hire to be offered the highest end of the salary range. Pay decisions are made based on the unique circumstances of each candidate and position. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
Maintains strictest confidentiality in every aspect of work.
Good interpersonal skills, good communications skills.
Bilingual English / Spanish Required.
High School diploma required.
Minimum 2+ years Human Resources/Occupational Safety experience necessary.
Background in food industry is a plus.
Must maintain California Driver’s License and eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
Flexibility working in an environment where processes and programs are still evolving.
Ability to multi-task.
Approachable, dependable, and willing to help.
Good computer skills, proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Paylocity, or any similar HRIS system (Preferred)
Good organizational skills.
