HR Technician - Part-Time

Starting salary up to $40.87/hour and a competitive total compensation package!
This is an onsite, 20-hour-per-week position, and there are two schedule options you can choose from:
Option 1. A set Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day that are scheduled between 10 am and 5 pm. OR
Option 2. A set Monday, Wednesday, and Friday schedule during which the hours per day are scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm.
An integral part of the HR team, our Disability Management (DM) Unit oversees the administration of leaves of absence (catastrophic, medical, military, occupational/non-occupational, short/long-term, etc.), reasonable accommodations, job-related medical screening tests, and Job Demands Analysis. They also are responsible for temporary transitional duty assignments, the County's self-insured workers' compensation and long-term disability programs, and reporting statistical claims. When you join our team, you will work alongside a full-time Technician, three Analysts, and the Disability Programs Manager, and be responsible for:
Reviewing and entering medical notes and leave paperwork into Claims Management Software
Processing Workers’ Compensation Claims paperwork
Assisting DM and Workers’ Compensation Analysts with case management by conducting research and preparing documentation
Running reports, interpreting data, and recommending actions to Analysts and Managers
Archiving old employee medical files and ensuring the integrity of paperless data

You can complete routine assignments but are also intellectually curious and enjoy working on projects and initiatives, as time allows. Additionally, a sense of humor is a must!
