I’m looking for a reliable, compassionate person to help my elderly parents on a long-term basis.
Tasks / Duties
Visit their home near Whole Foods, Lake Merritt (3 times a week, preferably mornings)
Each visit is expected to last 30+ minutes to complete the basic duties
Check in on my father: ensure he has eaten and is dressed
Do laundry and make sure he has clean clothes
Drive him to medical appointments, grocery store, or Costco as needed
Take out trash and dispose of food items when necessary
Who This Might Suit
A dependable, nonjudgmental person, ideally age 50–70+
No medical experience required
About Me
I am their son, living about 50 miles away, looking for someone trustworthy to provide ongoing support.
Working Conditions
Light meal prep (can be done at your home, or microwave meals at their residence)
The home is a hoarder house. Cleaning up the house is not required, but the environment is what it is.
No general housecleaning duties beyond laundry and taking out trash/food items.
Pay:
Market rate (to be discussed)
Payment by cash, Zelle, or check — whichever works best
