About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead our curb, gutter, and flatwork crew. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, hands-on concrete experience, and a proactive approach to planning and team coordination. You'll be responsible for keeping jobsites efficient, safe, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a crew of 4–8 workers on-site
- Interpret construction plans and specifications
- Manage layout, setup, forming, and finishing for curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and flatwork
- Ensure high-quality concrete work and finishing techniques
- Plan daily labor, material, and equipment needs
- Communicate with project managers and subcontractors to stay aligned with timelines
- Enforce jobsite safety and cleanliness
- Track daily crew hours and production
- Solve problems in the field and adjust to site conditions
- Drive a company truck responsibly and manage company gas card use
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in concrete flatwork, including curb and gutter
- Experience managing and motivating a crew
- Ability to read site plans and follow grades
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL a plus)
- Dependable, proactive, and solutions-driven
Preferred Qualifications
- Equipment operation experience (e.g., skid steer, mini-excavator)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
- Current member of the Operating Engineers Union (OE3)
