I'm 24 years old living with family in San Ramon and looking for people to help cover daytime and nighttime caregiving shifts. Overnight shifts also offered. Specific shift times will be determined in the interview stage, as currently most hours are available. All training required is offered on the job, paid, and you will have support during this training. You are not expected to have any prior knowledge or training in caregiving settings. Beginner friendly and entry level!
If you are looking for live-in positions, please do not apply. Due to my medical vulnerabilities all applicants MUST have their up-to-date vaccinations for the flu, COVID-19, and measles. Please either have your vaccinations or make arrangements to receive them when you apply. If you cannot receive vaccinations due to medical complications, an exception will be made for you, and you will be required to wear a mask on shift. Paid only through In Home Support Services (IHSS) and Waiver Personal Care Services (WPCS), which is $19.33 an hour in Contra Costa County. We will guide you through the process of registering with them if you aren't already. Both programs do full back-pay to compensate for any delays in payment.
Job can include, but is not limited to:
- help bathing
- help transfer to and from my wheelchair, the toilet chair, and my bed using a battery-powered Hoyer lift (extremely easy to learn to use, not complicated)
- help dressing
- help prepare food
- light housework
- transportation via OUR wheelchair-accessible van (must submit to a driving background check, we will pay for gas)
- assistance with my power soccer practices
