Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Electric Scooter Technician to join our warehouse team in San Rafael, CA (94901). This role will focus on performing quality control checks, troubleshooting, and repairs of our electric scooters. If you have mechanical and/or electrical repair experience—particularly with bicycles or similar devices—and you’re excited to dive deeper into the world of high-performance e-scooters, we want to meet you!
Key Responsibilities
- Scooter Quality Control: Inspect and test new scooters to ensure they meet MinimotorsUSA’s high standards.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical or electrical issues on new and customer-owned scooters.
- Service & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including brake adjustments (mechanical and hydraulic), hardware checks, and battery-related diagnostics.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship scooter parts or complete scooters to customers and dealers.
- Packaging & Shipping: Safely prepare scooters for shipment, ensuring all packaging meets quality guidelines.
Competencies & Requirements
- Electrical & Mechanical Proficiency: Ability to use a multimeter and hand tools effectively to diagnose issues.
- Brake Systems Knowledge: Comfortable working with mechanical and hydraulic disc brakes (experience with bicycle brakes is a plus, but not necessary).
- Fastener Know-How: Basic understanding of different types of fasteners and their applications.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift boxes or scooters weighing 50+ lbs.
- Professionalism: Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner with both colleagues and customers.
- Team Player: Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience as a mechanic or technician (bicycle, motorcycle, small engine, or similar) is beneficial, but we are willing to train a motivated candidate.

- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

- Pay: $22–$26 per hour (based on experience)
