ABOUT THE ROLE:
Glide's Maintenance Technician team performs a variety of maintenance duties throughout the interior and exterior of the our facilities. You will troubleshoot issues quickly, repair/replace parts and equipment, maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other systems (activities that do not require licensure), perform routine janitorial duties, and coordinate with contracted/licensed maintenance specialists/vendors when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
– 1+ years of verifiable hands-on general maintenance experience (i.e., plumbing, electrical, carpeting, painting, etc.)
– Basic knowledge of the use and operation of hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as hammers, hoists, drills, and wrenches, precision measuring devices and electrical testing devices.
– Ability to read assembly instructions, follow inspection sheets, and otherwise follow directions in English.
– Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed and be on call for emergencies or disaster work.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
– Maintaining HVAC systems, painting, minor carpentry, and repairing/replacing office equipment and furniture.
– Minor electrical work (e.g., replacing light bulbs and fuses).
– Routine maintenance and repairs (e.g., door/window hardware replacement, drywall repair, tile replacement, plumbing fixes).
– Servicing mechanical systems, mopping, vacuuming, laying flooring, washing windows, and power washing.
– Handling trash, recycling, moving equipment/furniture, and hanging items on walls.
– Perform pest control by inspecting premises, determining treatment, and assisting contractors.
– Maintain equipment, tools, and facilities.
