We are SF's top independent bike tour and rental company, founded in 2013, and based a block away from Golden Gate Park in the Haight Ashbury.
We are are looking for an experienced mechanic to help with our bike fleet of mostly electric bikes. Preferably you're already employed in SF as a bike mechanic and looking to make extra cash. To that end, we will pay some of the highest hourly rates for mechanic work in SF and offer a flexible schedule (you set your hours).
You:
A detail-oriented mechanic with 1+ years of experience in a professional bike shop environment.
Can commit to 8-10 hours a week, with more hours possible. You make your own schedule.
Know how to diagnose and fix bike issues efficiently and can work independently but also work thru tickets and fleet upgrades.
Have experience doing the wrenching below and can do it right the first time. You know your way around a modern disc brake bike.
Are generally stoked and are positive
The WRENCHING:
A fleet of electric bikes that need general maintenance and tuning. Occasional bike builds.
This may/will include:
Brakes: disk brake upgrades, rotor replacement, brake tuning, cable and housing replacement, hydraulic brake bleeds (on rare occasion)
Wheels and tires: tire changes, truing, flat repair, sealant top-offs, airing up, etc
Drivetrain: cassette/freewheel replacement, chain replacement, cleaning & lubing, single-speed conversion, crankset & pedal replacement, etc.
Accessories: fender install, light install, grip replacement, etc.
Misc/Safety: safety and bolt checks, periodic bike cleaning, shop org, etc.
