Are you passionate about organic farming and looking to work in a beautiful coastal area? Join us at Two Dog Farm, a well-established organic farm near Davenport, CA, with an additional property at Waddell Creek at the bottom of Big Basin near the county line. We've been growing high-quality produce for almost 40 years and are looking for dedicated farmworkers to join our team.

Position: Farmworker

Location: Two Dog Farm, Davenport, CA (Molino Creek), and Waddell Creek property

Type: Full-time/Part-time (seasonal and permanent positions available)

About Us:

Two Dog Farm is a family-owned organic farm with a rich history and commitment to organic farming practices. Nestled near the picturesque coastal town of Davenport, we produce a diverse range of organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs, with a specialty in dry-farmed tomatoes on 17 acres. We also have an acre of Chardonnay grapes for winemaking.

Job Responsibilities:

Long hours of hoeing and hand weeding

Harvesting for farmer's markets

Disassembling/assembling and moving irrigation pipes

Setting up gopher traps (experience is a plus)

Operating and maintaining a weed whacker

Packing and preparing produce for market

Vineyard maintenance

General farm maintenance

Qualifications:

Previous farm work/vineyard work is not required but a big plus

Must have a vehicle and provide own reliable transportation

Some of our roads are poorly maintained, so vehicle must be ok with dirt roads and potholes

Basic understanding of English and ability to understand and follow directions (None of us a bilingual unfortunately)

Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor

Ability to work in various weather conditions

Passion for organic and sustainable agriculture

Must be friendly and willing to integrate into a tight group of family and friends

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm with a half-hour paid lunch break

Additional Information:

Must bring your own water and food

Boots/protective and comfortable footwear required (some days will be muddy and can be long hours standing)

Two-week probationary period
