RS Display, Inc. is looking for an experienced Fabricator and Finisher to add to our team. Our passion is to produce experiential settings that support our clients to elevate a brand or grow their audience by way of a highly skilled shop, exceptional customer service, and a love for what we do. We specialize in trade show exhibits, special events, museum fixtures, corporate interiors, and more! We are looking to add to our awesome team.

Job Summary:

Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM (additional overtime as needed).

Location: On-Site at RS Display, Inc. in Gilroy, CA; minimal traveling as needed.

Compensation: $28-$35 per hour, depending on skillset and experience.

Job Duties:

Use hand and power tools to construct cabinets, fixtures and structures of materials such as wood, plywood, and laminate.

Perform quality finishing for all types of job needs.

Adhere laminate to cabinet sides, counter tops, exhibit and museum fixtures, etc.

Read and understanding blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine job specs and material requirements.

Utilize appropriate tools to measure and prepare layout; measure, cut, shape and assemble materials.

Follow standards and procedures for constructing exhibits; make repair adjustments as necessary.

Determine material requirements, anticipate needed supplies; work with purchasing to order as necessary.

Ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Availability to work overtime when necessary for job progress and to meet deadlines. Willingness to occasionally work holidays, weekends, etc. as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

3+ years of experience in cabinet building or exhibit fabrication and finishing.

Strong understanding of carpentry and wood-working.

Experience in applying laminate to cabinetry and/or exhibit fixtures.

Experience with a variety of styles and techniques of painting and finishing.

Advanced skills with spray gun and clear coating techniques.

Ability to organize and maintain inventory of supplies and tools.

Knowledge of different paint products - shellac vs. oil vs. waterborne, etc.

Knowledge of different solvents and when to use them - mineral spirits, acetone, etc.

Ability to prep a multitude of substrates - wood, metal, plastic, foam.

Ability to follow directions and stay productive with minimal supervision.

Ability to thrive in an enthusiastic and dynamic team environment, along with a desire to make a personal impact on the company.

High degree of initiative and self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed.

Experience handling complex projects, time management and ability to prioritize tasks
