House Manager - Part Time

We are looking to hire a part-time (10 hours per week + additional hours on a project/event basis) house manager / personal assistant/project manager for our family. We are two busy but fun-loving CEOs who are feeling behind and overwhelmed by lagging household projects and want to reclaim some of our own free time on the weekends so we aren’t spending them entirely doing household chores.

The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, cheerful, and adaptable. Because we will be spending time together, the right personality is of the utmost importance - we want you to enjoy spending time in our home. We work part of our time from home and part of our time from our nearby office so we may be home sometimes when you are there working.

A can-do, get-it-done mentality and self-reliance are key traits that we do not want to micro-manage. Ideally, you work in and around our home 10 a.m - 2 p.m. Tuesday & Wednesday or Wednesday & Thursday. We have a big friendly dog who is very interactive so you must like and be comfortable with dogs. We are looking for someone who will be proactive in anticipating needs and be able to project manage our household.

Duties include:

House Tidying:

We have a cleaning person who does deep cleaning (like vacuuming, mopping, toilets, one of our beds, etc); and, you will be responsible for the lighter daily tasks such as dishes and general straightening of the house.

Laundry Folding/Putting Away:

We seem to have an inordinate amount of laundry that needs folding and putting away on a weekly basis. Our cleaning person starts some of the laundry on Monday but we need it moved through, folded, and put away.

Organization:

We have had several years of very insane work schedules and we are very behind in terms of organizing, and cleaning out our closets, cabinets, garage, & linen closets.

Vendor Management:

We also have a bi-weekly gardner and weekly pool cleaner who don’t require much management but we may have handymen, contractors, etc. that require some management.

Life Administration:

Errands - daily/weekly grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office, car wash, etc. as needed.

Meal prep - some meal preparation skills necessary - helping to prep family meals for dinner or dinner parties.

Social support - we host dinner parties regularly and need assistance with invites, shopping, and general coordination.

Gifts - shop, wrap, and mail cards and gifts as necessary.

Dog walking - possible dog walking depending on other tasks.

Must have:

- Your own vehicle (we will reimburse you for gas when you are running errands).

- Your own technology (smartphone, laptop), Google calendar.

- Love and be comfortable with dogs.

$28/hour
