Key Responsibilities:
Perform general plant care and garden maintenance, i.e., pruning, mowing, blowing, edging, and aerating.
Prepare the facility for daily public visiting hours, including removal of leaves and other debris from walkways and steps.
With proper training operate machinery and equipment used in the performance of gardening duties.
Able to manage multiple priorities and meets deadlines as directed.
Maintains tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
Keeps working areas clean, safe, and organized.
Communicate timely with supervisor with updates on projects assigned and status.
Seeks out direction when unsure on how to safely and competently perform responsibilities.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
Previous experience of 1 year in a similar role.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work with ladders and other equipment.
Commitment to excellence and high standards.
Ability to work independently or in a team
CA DL Good DMV record.
Exposure to dust, heat, cold, fumes and chemicals.
Standing, walking on uneven ground, bending, pushing and pulling, fine dexterity.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Walk, kneel, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
