Lost Gold Ring Wading At Monte Rio Beach Near Guerneville

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen:

I write to request your help, please, in finding a gold ring my sister lost in the Russian River at Monte Rio Beach just outside Guerneville, Sonoma County, California.

My Fort Worth Country Day School signet-style solid yellow gold 1975 high school class ring was appropriated by my younger sister shortly after I received it on my graduation from high school in Fort Worth, Texas.

She wore it continuously until she lost it forty-eight years later in August, 2023.

She was on vacation swimming with friends just a few feet out into the Russian River, at a shallow wading depth of about three feet at the main, very well-known Monte Rio Beach, which is just outside Guerneville, Sonoma County, California.

The ring slipped off her finger.

My name is inscribed on the inside of the band: Caleb Boone.

The ring is signet style which means it is flat on top, not mounded or rounded, has no jewel or stone but instead has a round school seal impressed into its flat top.

My high school’s motto in its round seal, which is pressed into the flat top or main face of the ring, is “Humanitas Per Disciplinam” and a delta wing breaking a ruler is the picture inside the round seal.

It may well be that someone has already found it.

If you can help me or refer me to a metal detectorist you know regularly prospects at Monte Rio Beach, or has access to the metal detectorists who maintain lost and found repositories in that area, please call me at 785-625-6551 or write to me with his or her full name, mobile ‘phone number and email address.

I am aware the water is too high and the weather is too inclement to actually search in the Monte Rio Beach area right now.

Please know that I am just as interested to find someone who can go there to search for me as I am to find someone who himself/herself has already found this very ring or is plugged-in to all the online bulletin boards, chat rooms and circles of friends which might very well include the detectorist, or information on the detectorist, who has already found this very ring.

I ask you, please, to provide me with the names and numbers of those who fall into that category also.

I will be happy to pay a reward for the recovery of this ring.

Thank you very much for your generous professional courtesy.

Sincerely yours,

CALEB BOONE
