A fast-growing property management company is expanding and seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our team! We manage several property portfolios throughout the Bay Area. Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the property
-Manage vacant apartments by preparing them through the turnover process
-Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting, and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
-Complete service requests in a timely fashion
-Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment
-Perform routine preventive maintenance
-Manage scheduling and status updates during manager’s meetings
-Analyze and potentially fix electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, installations, service, and replacements responsibly and professionally that meet industry standards as needed by the apartment community.
-Perform unit assessments and walk-thru inspections
-Maintain the required property uniform ensuring a professional appearance
-Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
-Be available to work on an on-call basis
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Must have a valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Basic computer/cell phone skills
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
Physically able to lift 50lbs.
Effective problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, a plus.
Basic knowledge of carpentry and framing, a plus.
HVAC, Landscaping, and Appliance repair experience a plus.
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to handle physical workload.
