Job Title: Trailer Mechanic
Location: Petaluma, CA
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and upgrading a variety of trailers, including horse trailers, dump trailers, and flatbed trailers.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, tires, and wheels.
- Inspect trailers for safety and ensure they are in proper working order.
- Replace tires and perform wheel alignments.
- Repair and maintain brake systems.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Perform basic structural repairs and fabrication work.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must bring your own tools.
- Must be willing to commute to Petaluma
- Must be dependable
