$35 - $45 per hour

SUMMARY:
Private home is looking for a part-time assistant and Housekeeper. We are a couple, a few housemates and two cats living in a 6-bedroom home in Alamo Square, the heart of San Francisco.
We are looking for a trusted assistant who can keep our home in tip-top shape while we are working and traveling. We welcome guests regularly and host many gatherings. We need someone who can come daily (minimum Monday to Friday with some flexibility) to reset the house (laundry, making the bed, emptying the dishwasher) and also take care of odd tasks eg package return, sewing holes in clothes, steaming / ironing.
The ideal candidate will be service-oriented, proactive, and can execute instructions with a “can do” attitude.
SKILLS:
Great communication skills
Experience in housekeeping
Light sewing
Managing house plants
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, squat, crouch, bend and crawl. Ability to lift, push & pull required load (approx 30 lbs).
Experience installing and maintaining domestic electronics equipment
Experience hanging up and taking down objects on the wall, including gluing and nailing objects
DAILY TASKS:
Empty the dishwasher / gather stray cups
Clean cat litter boxes
Sweep and mop the floors
Make bed of master bedroom
Take out recycling, trash and compost. Breakdown recycling into 2x2 pieces.
Vacuum (we have cat allergies)
Find roomba, empty dust bin and put back on charger
Wipe down counters and stovetop
Report any damages or concerns from the furniture, carpets, upholstery, floors, blinds, windows, with photos.
Inform us of any missing cleaning products etc
Clean guest rooms as needed
Open packages and put items in correct places.
WEEKLY TASKS
Wash, fold and hang clothing back in closets
Manage plants (overwatering, under watering, pruning)
Clean fridge
Clean furniture & fixtures. Wash, dust, polish, vacuum, and sweep assigned areas
Clean sinks, tubs, showers and toilets. Note we also have another housekeeper that does this weekly so we will rarely need you to do this.
Organize / color code closet in master bedroom
Hang up items in various home locations
Move items across home areas, including paperwork, delivery boxes, clothes, personal items, and furniture
Oversee vendors that need to get in
Prepare basic food as requested
Return packages, dry cleaning ad hoc
REQUIREMENTS:
Fluency in English is preferred.
3+ years of experience working as a housekeeper in a high-level private home or hotel in a similar role preferred.
References required from current and previous employers.
Schedule:
2 hours per day, between 10-4pm
Monday to Friday
Selective weekend availability
