Platypus Painting is searching for a Foreman Painter to join our team. This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with possible overtime opportunities.
Position Requirements:
Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Must be able to lead by example, be solution -oriented, a good listener, respectful, encouraging and a team player.
Ability to communicate and report effectively to customers and team members, including office staff.
Must be comfortable using technology on a daily basis for reporting, time tracking and communication.
Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Must have a positive attitude and be able to manage/direct small crews effectively while resolving complex, and/or difficult preparation and painting projects.
Must be professional, accountable, tactful, and act with integrity.
Must be motivated, on time, ready to work, a self-starter, comfortable with change, able to receive criticism, able to take direction, helpful and willing to learn.
Must maintain a safe and effective working environment at all times. This includes: job site hazard identification, ladder safety, lead safety, harness/fall arrest, scaffolding safety, driving safety.
Must be able to work in the United States, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and own basic tools. (East Bay resident preferred as company serves Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Kensington, Oakland, Orinda, and Piedmont. Occasional projects in San Francisco and Marin)
Carpentry skills is a plus!
