Full-Time Exempt Associate Attorney – Immediate Hire
Bay area general practice law firm with transactional and heavy litigation workload seeks full-time exempt Associate Attorney.
PAY and BENEFITS:
● Salary: $95,000 - $120,000+ (DOE)
● 1800 billable hours per year (negotiable)
● Discretionary annual bonus based on performance, billable hours, and business development
● Benefits: Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, health/dental/vision insurance, long-term disability benefits, and 401(k)
● In office, hybrid (office/remote), or fully remote.
● Employment is at-will.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
● Active member of the California State Bar in good standing
● 2-5+ years legal experience
● Must be eligible to work in the United States
● Ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Case management from initial filing through trial
● Client screening & intake
● Court appearances (via Zoom or travel), law & motion
● Legal research & writing
● Discovery, depositions, subpoenas
● Trials, arbitrations, & mediations
● Interface with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and judicial officers
● Legal practice software
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Litigation experience
● Exceptional communication skills
● Attention to detail
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and accurately record billable hours
● Strong professional ethics and commitment to quality legal work
