We are looking for a mid-level to experienced Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to add to the team. The team requires a highly skilled, career driven individual who can provide excellent service and representation for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation with a practice area focus on Business and Probate Litigation.

The candidate must be well-organized, detail oriented, and tech-savvy and must possess excellent document preparation, typing, formatting, time management and prioritization skills. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is flexible and adaptable, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Corresponding and communicating with clients and counsel

Preparing legal documents using correct formatting, based on local court rules

Formatting pleadings and discovery

E-Filing and paper filing (as needed) in state and federal court

Calendaring events in ProLaw (case management software) and Microsoft Outlook

Calculating legal deadlines in accordance with statutory rules

Apprise and remind attorneys and all necessary team members of deadlines and appearances

Scheduling and arranging depositions

Maintaining paperless files and documents following established Firm practices

Assisting attorneys in all phases of their civil litigation practice and community

service activities

Backup other legal secretaries/assistants and administrative staff as needed

A qualified candidate must meet the following requirements:

· Must have a minimum of two year's experience as a Legal Secretary/Assistant

· Positive Outlook and Can Do Attitude

· Highly Proficient usage of Microsoft Office 365 - Word, Excel and Outlook as well as

Adobe Acrobat Pro

· Experience with Prolaw Case Management Software including Westlaw Rules in Prolaw

is preferred.

· Possess excellent verbal, writing, and proofreading skills

· Must have the ability to identify urgent tasks and prioritize time accordingly

· Must be able to multi-task and adapt gracefully to changing situations, priorities, and deadlines

Compensation: Competitive salary dependent on experience; Salary range is $37-42 per hour. Comprehensive Benefits Package is also offered. We are also offering a $2,500 signing bonus after 90 days of employment.
