An AV rated boutique employment law firm, seeks experienced probate and trust litigation counsel for an Of Counsel, part-time position. This advisory support position is ideal for semi-retired or retired attorneys who have proven experience in probate and trust litigation, and related fields, and who still enjoys the analytical, risk evaluation, strategy planning and problem-solving aspects of practicing law without the daily grind of full-time practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS
Provide legal counsel and guidance on probate and trust related litigation matters in a collegial and collaborative environment.
Assist in analysis and development of issues, risk evaluation, strategy and advocacy, and in preparation of probate and trust litigation cases for pre-trial matters, alternative dispute resolution, and trial.
Strong writing skills for reviewing and editing probate & trust petitions, responses, discovery and other related matters.
Solid knowledge of and stay updated on California probate and trust law, and associated laws, legal standards and ethics.
QUALIFICATIONS
JD from ABA accredited law school. Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
Remote work mostly, hours flexible. Prefer Attorney to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento, since San Francisco, Silicon Valley or Sacramento meetings may infrequently take place.
