The Next Generation is an award-winning political consulting and issue advocacy firm, specializing in progressive and environmental candidates and causes in the Bay Area and across California. We are seeking a well-organized, reliable and detail-oriented Campaign Associate with excellent written communications and people skills to work with multiple candidates for local office in the November 2024 election.
Dates: Beginning immediately through November 8, 2024
Hours: 40 hours per week, full time. Evening and weekend work may be required
Compensation: $4,000 to $5,000 per month FTE, depending on experience
Location: Remote, but within California
Campaign Associate Responsibilities
The Campaign Associate is generally responsible for outgoing communications (emails, scripts, social media posts), data processing, administrative duties, and client management for a subset of our client portfolio. Working closely with the Campaigns Director and other organization staff, the campaign associate serves as the day-to-day contact for assigned clients, including staffing client meetings, maintaining campaign timelines, and other duties as assigned.
Produce written materials such as website content, digital content, email blasts, precinct walk scripts, phone banking scripts, robo calls
Development and oversight of all campaign e-blasts
Participating in the development of campaign plans and strategies
Supervising field campaign efforts (endorsement gathering, voter contacts) and aiding with the creation and maintenance of field strategy
Conducting basic analysis of voter data
Regularly updating campaign websites
Assisting in developing and implementing campaign timelines
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
Some campaign or non-profit experience

Google Drive Proficiency
Basic data management skills
Self-driven and excellent time management skills
Thriving in a team environment
Not required, but nice to have
Experience using PDI, Scale to Win, and/or Wix
Canva and/or Photoshop design experience
Video production
