Ringseis Designs in Fairfax, established in 1977, has built a stellar reputation for quality craftsmanship and customer care. We are currently looking to hire an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented Picture Framer to join our team (14-21/hours a week /flexible.) If you’re already working part-time in another shop and are interested in picking up additional hours, we’d love to hear from you. Experience:
1. Professional picture framing experience. 2+ years.
2. Read and understand design specifications.
3. Proficiency with framing equipment and tools and techniques.
4. Strong communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Job descriptions and duties:
1. Maintain an organized workspace, keeping tools and materials in order.
2. Execute all aspects of custom picture framing including joining, measuring, mat board cutting, glass cutting, mounting, and fitting.
3. Read design specifications to execute custom framing projects accurately.
4. Operate and maintain framing equipment (miter saws, glass cutters, mat cutters, joiners).
5. Manage inventory of framing materials and supplies.
6. Place orders with suppliers ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
7. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship on every project.
