JOB SUMMARY:
Manufacturing Technicians operate industrial equipment, work with manufacturing-related tools, and perform work processes in various manufacturing settings.
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication with co-workers, management
Efficiently manage time to avoid backtracking and delay of tasks.
Work independently and productively while still keeping open communication with others.
Regular attendance and timeliness.
Perform other duties as assigned or otherwise identified.
Job Duties and Desired Skills
Experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Assembly
Sub-Assembly Preparation
Clean production equipment and work areas
Strong attention to detail
Ability to stand for 10 hours
Ability to bend at the knees
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently
Control Panel Wiring
Final Assembly
Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements
Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to supervisors
Operate production equipment by current good manufacturing practices & standard operating procedures
Ability to read an electrical schematic
Assist Engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with equipment, devices, and products
Provide advice and training to others technicians
Typical Working Environment:
All work to be performed on-site in Pleasanton, CA
Anticipated noise level is Moderate; subject to noise from machinery or equipment running, collaborative dialogue.
Equipment/ Tools Used:
Various electric hand tools, power drills, heat guns, bandsaws, handheld screwdrivers, torque wrenches, sanders, wire strippers, and other hand tools.
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
