We make yoyostring for competition players and those just having fun. It’s popular and keeps us busy. One of our sponsored players won the World YoYo Championship with our sting!
The job:
Part time help making our colorful yoyo strings.
About you:
Are you good with getting the details right and high-quality standards, happy to work independently, and able to get into a groove focusing on quality and consistency when doing repetitive work? Do you have good dexterity with your fingers? Our long-time person doing this set her own schedule doing a couple of hours a day while listening to a podcast or music and working on her own. She moved for her partner’s job, so we need someone to take on the opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Load thread and run a simple machine that twists the strings. (Requires working on your feet.)
Cut and tie the end knots.
Package completed yoyo strings.
Check off completed work and follow an order sheet.
Do other related tasks such as cutting stickers, opening & prepping packaging.
What’s in it for you:
The position is a great opportunity to put in 10 or 15 hours a week with flexible days and work times to fit your schedule, including doing it all on a couple of weekdays, the weekend, or spreading it out over the week. You can do more if you like as long as there are orders to fill. The pay is based on units produced, but $20 per hour minimum, so whichever is greater. Candidates that work efficiently and learn to quickly tie the end knots generally make a little over $20 per hour once they settle in.
