KNT Janitor Job Description
Clean daily sweep and mop floors of restrooms and lunchrooms; also pick up and empty trash in the assigned areas. Maintain inventory, supplies, and report breakdown.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness sweep and mop floors in two restrooms located in washing area and QC/A92 area: toilets, sinks – twice / three times a day.
Two lunchrooms: Sweep, mop floor, disinfect surfaces, countertops, tables, shelves, kitchen appliances … surrounding interior the lunchroom and communal areas along the wall outside of lunchroom and building (pick up trash, leaves, …)
Always put out "wet floor" signs prior to wet mopping or in case of liquid floor spills. Always removes "wet floor" signs promptly when floors are dry.
Pick up and empty all the trash in the lunchrooms daily and outdoor tables surrounding the building.
Cleans designated outside areas as assigned, emptying cigarette ash receptacles and exterior trash receptacles used by employees.
Follows established safety procedures and precautions in the performance of maintenance duties.
Maintain inventory cleaning products and toiletries, materials on hand used.
Reports equipment malfunction or breakdown and defective sanitary, kitchen appliances to a supervisor as soon as possible, if unable to correct.
Weekly clean up refrigerators: empty spoil foods, smelly, wipes clean shelves…
Maintains good working relationships with co-workers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance.
Requirements
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Valid CA Driver’s License.
Ability to physical work such as: standing, walking, bending, squatting, mobilities and flexible conditions. Lifting materials up to 25-30 pounds.
