A press brake operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines used in the manufacturing process. Your primary duty is to bend, shape, and form metal sheets or plates according to specifications provided in blueprints.

Job Duties:
Set up press brake machines by installing and aligning dies, punches, and backgauges according to job specifications.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on press brake machines, such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Input bending parameters, such as angles, depths, and dimensions, into the machine's computerized control system.
Operate the press brake machine to bend metal sheets or plates to the required angles and shapes while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
Identify and resolve issues with machine operation, such as tooling problems, material defects, or programming errors.
Maintain accurate production records - log in and out of job via data collect system

Qualifications:
Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings and job specifications.
Understanding of machine operation, tooling setup and basic maintenance procedures.
Ability to perform precise measurements, inspect finished parts for quality and identify defects or deviations from specifications.
Capacity to troubleshoot machine issues, identify root causes of problems, and implement corrective actions.
Basic computer knowledge.
