This is a hands-on managerial position involving intense physical work, not a desk job.
WAREHOUSE MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
MUST have verifiable previous experience managing a team in a manufacturing shop environment.
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.
Must be able to delegate tasks to the team and plan the workday load.
Must be energetic and be able to work at a good pace.
Must be able to continuously lift up to 50lb boxes, be able to stand for long periods of time, work in a hot/cold noisy warehouse environment.
Must be comfortable using PPE (safety glasses, apron, dust mask, safety gloves, steel toe boots, etc.).
Must be able to use basic hand/power tools and learn how to operate machinery.
Must have good math skills to add, multiply, divide.
Must have great attendance, be consistently on time and have reliable transportation to work.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
Shipping, receiving, picking, packing, sort and stack pallets/boxes, load and unload trucks/vehicles, etc. (welding skills a plus). Close and open shop. Customer service over the phone and/or in person. Hire, fire, train new warehouse staff as well as quarterly review each team member.
