Unique job position to do final assembly and testing of geophysical instruments used to detect earthquakes and provide shutoff signals to buildings and elevators. This is a rare position where your work will directly help to save lives around the world. Company is a family owned business that has been the leader of our space for over 50 years.
Primary job entails brief testing of already assembled circuit boards and assembly of their enclosures. Other duties include packaging the final product for shipping, receiving and managing inventory, and other infrequent random tasks. This is a part time position of about 30-35hr a week. Hours are semi-flexible in the M-F 9-5 window.
This position is located in downtown San Rafael, central on 4th street. You will work independently and report to the general manager who works remotely. Please note that we only make a single product.
Experience in any type of mechanical assembly preferred, ability to fassen very small screws and nuts required, occasional lifting of up to 50lb boxes required, and you must be able to tape shipping boxes cleanly.
