Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support the overall production and fulfillment operation through the safe and efficient operation of molding machines.
2. Operate manufacturing machinery, feeding materials for processing, adjusting machine settings, performing minor repairs, and performing machine startup and shutdown.
3. Provide routine maintenance of molding machines and associated equipment.
4. Create and maintain molding process documentation for operation and maintenance.
5. Contribute to product development, support of new business opportunities and the development of improved production strategies.
6. Create and support process improvements for machines and equipment (molding/extrusion through packaging).
7. Ensure company safety policies are being followed.
8. Achieve group quality and safety goals and objectives.
9. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required in support of our production lines.
Performance Expectations:
- Ensure that all of the above duties and responsibilities are fulfilled.
-Must be able to stand at a workstation for extended periods of time (8 hours) operating equipment and packaging products while closely monitoring and visually inspecting products and processes.
-Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Success Patterns:
1. Experience in machine operation, with defined production and quality targets
2. Experience in successful team strategies for process fulfillment.
3. Experience in the application and practice of safety programs.
4. Knowledge of production molding equipment (mechanical aspects) is a plus.
5. Knowledge and practice of tool making and machine shop operations is a plus.
