Position Overview

The Via Fill & Etch Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining via fill equipment and etching processes in PCB manufacturing. Working with machines, ovens, and chemical baths to perform PCB manufacturing processes, including etching copper, stripping resist, stripping tin, applying epoxy paste, planarizing, cleaning, and baking PCB production panels. This position requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow process controls to ensure high-quality product output.

Key Responsibilities

Willing to learn and able to read and follow manufacturing instructions while monitoring equipment process parameters. Able to learn and perform in process inspections of small features such as holes, traces, and copper thicknesses utilizing various devices such as eye pieces, light tables, handheld measuring scopes, and a CMI machine.

Set up, operate, and monitor via fill equipment.

Operate and monitor chemical etching lines for inner-layer and outer-layer processing.

Mix and maintain chemical baths according to process specifications.

Inspect work-in-progress and finished boards for quality and compliance with IPC and customer requirements.

Document process parameters, production output, and quality checks accurately.

Adhere to all safety procedures when handling chemicals and operating machinery.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).

Previous experience in PCB manufacturing a plus.

Ability to read and interpret FAB Prints, work instructions, and process documentation.

Familiarity with IPC standards is preferred.

Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and steady hand-eye coordination.

Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled environment.

Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed.
