Mac Cal Co., Inc. located in north San Jose is a contract manufacturing company that has been in business for nearly 60 years.
We currently have an opening for a full time Shipping/Receiving Clerk with at least 2 years of experience that is comfortable in a fast paced sheet metal and contract manufacturing environment.
Position requires employee to receive material in from vendors, and then quickly and accurately send to inventory, quality control or the shop floor. Also responsible for scheduling and sending parts to outside vendors for various processes such as plating and cleaning and then following up to ensure parts are received back in a timely fashion.
As part of the shipping duties this position must be able to prepare and package finished goods for shipment to customers. Experience preparing packing slips and shipping documents for domestic and international shipments a must.
Qualified applicants must have computer experience; Microsoft Excel is a plus, and excellent communication skills. This position will be interfacing with various internal departments including purchasing, quality control, inventory, accounting and customer service. Good communication with vendors and internal departments is a must.
Qualified applicant needs to able to make decisions and prioritize quickly with minimal supervision.
Forklift certification useful but not required, we will train. Position also requires the use of a pallet jack and hand truck. Position requires lifting of 50lbs or more.
Other responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading material
Accurately count and receive material into the inventory system
Route the material and associated paperwork to its proper location
Communicate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues associated with materials and parts
Provide status on late orders, pricing and quantity issues to the other departments
