Job Type: Full-time Exempt

Shift and Schedule: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday

Gantri, Inc’s. Finishing Supervisor is a member of the Manufacturing Production Team reporting to the Manufacturing Production Manager. The successful candidate will directly manage 14 people spread across a day shift and swing shift.

Gantri is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Painting Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and coating applications, with a proven track record of managing teams and projects to successful completion. As the Paint Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of painting projects, from initial planning and preparation to final execution and quality control. You will work closely with Manufacturing, R&D engineering and vendors and to ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your role will involve coordinating and supervising a team of painters, sanders, quality and administrative employees, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and providing hands-on support and guidance as needed. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues that arise during the project. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The Supervisor is the head of the paint and sanding department, overseeing individuals that carry out certain standardized tasks. They are experts and top performers of the tasks. They ensure that team members follow instructions and carry the tasks out at the desired quality and efficiency. They're learning Gantri's management approach to ensure that individuals are performant. They work under manager's supervision. They provide feedback about processes, personnel and concerns to the manager.

This person will lead the Finishing Department in the Painting and Finish preparation of Gantri’s Table Lights, Wall Lights and Floor Lights. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in working within a production system and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must possess a skill set that allows them the ability to work with engineers, production associates, quality, supply chain and outside suppliers across a wide variety of issues/ corrective actions identified in Production Assembly. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Gantri and with outside company contacts.

Responsibilities:

Manage Production Associates’ (levels P1 through P4) sanding, priming and painting Gantri lighting products, while helping develop and continuously improve the team structures & processes used in the Gantri Factory.

Assist in the development & be directly responsible for following the Finishing Department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) compliance used in production by the production team.

Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Process Engineers.

Support of control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the production process.

Assist in the development and implementation of training programs and hire plans for production personnel.

Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking.

Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and make certain no defects leave a station or team area.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated Leadership Abilities

- 3+ years of experience in fast paced, high volume manufacturing environment preferred

- Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity

- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- One to three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience preferred

- Able to work extended hours when required

- Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and / or Google Workspace highly preferred
