Job Description
Program, setup and operate water jet
Make best determination on methods, cutter types, and cutting parameters, depending on materials and design specifications
Create 3-5 axis tool paths utilizing CAD/CAM software
Designs 3-D computer models, drawings, and specifications for fabrication of fixturing elements
Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner per best practices
Perform visual inspections on all machined parts to ensure they meet quality expectations
Maintain all tooling to ensure high-quality output and accuracy
Identify and report all machine issues, error messages and/or malfunctions
Collect and upload manufacturing data into computerized management system
Work with process engineers on manufacturing processes to ensure that quality and design objectives are achieved
Requirements
Minimum 2-years experience
Proficiency with measuring gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking
Work well under pressure
Good communication skills
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints
Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Detail-oriented and organized
Must be reliable and responsible
Good-natured, cooperative, trainable attitude
Machine shop experience a plus
