Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team to care for children, ages infant to 4 years old, while their parents are involved in church related programs. The ideal candidate has a personal relationship with Christ and has experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, babysitting, or nannying.
Responsibilities
To provide quality childcare as requested for church programs, showing love, patience, respect, and kindness to all children. Including the following primarily administrative functions:
-Prepare the room before children arrive to ensure that interesting and inviting age appropriate activities are available for children to choose from. Maintain the room in a clean, organized manner.
-Make sure all new families are registered and that forms are filled out completely. Assist with greeting and signing in of returning children.
-Make sure children have name tags that note allergy information.
-Participate in the children's play and assist them while they engage in the various activities available in the room. Hold and play with children ages 0-4.
-Able to lift at least 40 pounds, bend, squat, and be in good physical health.
-Clean all toys and tables that were played with that day.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, classroom, or similar setting
- Knowledge of infant care practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess working knowledge of child development
