SOAR PROGRAM
The Supportive Outreach and Access to Resources (SOAR) program is a Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) clinical model that provides comprehensive assessment and treatment services to clients (ages 12-30) with early onset psychosis. The SOAR treatment team is comprised of the following individuals: Therapists, Supported Education and Employment Specialist (SEES), Family Advocate, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatrist, and the Bilingual Program Coordinator. The core processes of the program include a team-based approach, specialized training, community outreach, client and family engagement, and shared decision making.
POSITION SUMMARY
SOAR Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical oversight and administrative supervision to therapists and other staff within Aldea’s SOAR program. Supervision duties include but are not limited to: maintaining supportive, collaborative working relationships with supervisees, clients and the leadership team; ensuring that services offered to clients are clinically, legally and ethically sound; enhancing the professional skills of the clinical staff; and supporting supervisees’ adherence to policies and practices that enhance the quality of programmatic and agency functioning. In addition, the candidate may also provide direct assessment, treatment and necessary collateral services to clients and families, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an MFT or LCSW required, two years post licensure preferred.
Excellent leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a team, while taking direction from agency leadership.
- Experience in providing clinical supervision to licensed professionals, pre-licensed interns, and/or graduate students providing treatment services to children, families and adults preferred.
- Experience working with Medi-Cal and related documentation requirements.
- Contemporary understanding of psychosis, community-based services, child development, mental health family systems, primary care systems, school systems, child welfare systems, and juvenile court systems.
