Title: Facilities Associate
Regular Full Title: 40 Hours/week Monday – Friday (8AM – 4:30PM)
Hourly: $25 – $28
Reports to: Facilties Supervisor
Start Date: ASAP

Homeward Bound is currently in search of a Facilities Associate to perform semi-skilled duties aimed at supporting and maintaining our organization's residential, program, and administrative facilities.

The Candidate:
We are looking for a mission-driven and hands-on Facilities Assocates who works well as a team and independently. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes appropriate initiative and can work collaboratively with a diverse group and clients.
Education or Training Equivalent to:
High school diploma
Special Qualifications & Qualities (skills, abilities, licenses):
Ability to use hands with high level of manual dexterity for extended periods of time (3-4 hours)
Work well with a team as well as independently.
Ability to reach, climb, and balance on a regular basis.
Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel and/or crawl on occasion
Ability to lift and/or move objects, weighing up to 50 lbs.
Able to keep strong boundaries and limits.
Self-starter who takes appropriate initiative, has excellent time management and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and organize, is creative and has a sense of humor
Dynamic, resourceful, flexible, kind, compassionate, understanding
Awareness of and comfort working in a culturally and ethnically diverse work environment
Able to ask questions and receive constructive suggestions.
Requires a valid California Driver’s License
Major Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain cleanliness of lobbies,hallways, restrooms, elevatiors, stairwasys, and other common areas including wasjing, dusting and polishing said areas.
Perform cleaning of residential units.
Maintain common area floors including wash and wax hard surface flooring, vacuuming and/or cleaning carpets and rugs, cleaning tile grout, etc.
Maintain common area walls, windows, doors, and lighting fixtures including cleaning , light painting and changing light bulbs.
Responsible for maintaining the inventory of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
Completes assigned minor and/or routine service requests.
Empty all trash receptacles and transport collected trash to the assigned disposable area.
Ability to travel to other properties as requested.
Other maintenance tasks as directed
Relationships:
Establishes and maintains open and supportive relationships with directors, managers, and all other agency staff members.
Establishes and maintains respectful relationships with all residents, clients, and other organization constituents.
Establishes and maintains communication with related vendors, consultants, and service providers.
Maintains and models confidentiality related to agency services and client issues.
Open to sharing and learning skills that'll be helpful to team and day to day maintenance operations.
Respectful of residents personal belongings/ space .
Demostrate superb customer-service.
Written & Verbal Communication Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to employees of the organization.

$25$28 per hour DOE with a competitive benefits package which includes 100% employer paid medical, vision and dental insurance, 2 weeks’ vacation, and access to a 403b retirement plan. Under California law, Homeward Bound is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary or hourly rate outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decision including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. Salary and hourly rate offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
