Urban Village Farmers' Market is looking for a friendly and dependable person for our Market Maintenance Ambassador at our Campbell Farmers' Market every Sunday, from 8am to 3pm.
Duties include:
Patroling and enforcing the event's no-dogs policy.
Assisting Market Manager with disturbances.
Assisting with maintenance and breakdown of waste cans and signage throughout the market footprint.
Monitoring overflow of trash and recycling cans throughout the day.
Sweeping messes and spills that are in or near the vicinity of our footprint - even if they are not ours. We take pride in leaving Campbell Ave. better than we found it!
Assisting with monitoring and enforcing city street barricade closures.
Assisting with traffic control during break down.
Leading all event trash removal to dumpsters.
Assisting in making sure that streets are fully open by 2:55 PM or not a minute later than 3pm
We are looking for someone with:
Excellent customer service skills
Positive energy
Can-do attitude and pride in going above and beyond to keep this event sparkling
Self starter working alone, but able to communicate with team
Ability to "de-escalate" and remain calm and professional in rare occasions of a disturbance.
