Part-Time Program Teachers & Community Builders Wanted: Emotional Intelligence and Nature
Are you passionate about teaching and training for transforming humanity? We are a small non-profit focused on emotional intelligence in service of human society and the climate crisis. We are looking for 4 part-time (ten hours a week) teachers to help our team grow a like-minded and emotionally versatile community.
Our offerings and first-stage teaching preparation activities over 6 weeks.
1. Biweekly Relationship Mending mini workshops (2 hrs).
2. Monthly community discussion gatherings (2 hrs).
3. Monthly introductory 3-emotions Saturday workshops.
4. 9 emotions background readings for Emotional Versatility and awareness practice.
Second stage training: 2.5 months Central study focus
1. Biweekly Emotional Versatility (EV) workshops with awareness practice.
Possible additional participation:
2. Assistance and creative initiatives to benefit the Institute.
3. Dream Work group.
4. Emotion-focused Men’s Work Class with awareness practice.
5. Nature Experience with creative adult play practices.
After training:
Assisting at all Institute programs as preparation for co-leading.
Location: Santa Cruz and nearby (Online or hybrid programs TBD)
Responsibilities:
Facilitate small classes and group workshops (both in-person and online).
Teach according to prepared materials. Record noteworthy experiences for program growth.
Collaborate with others to develop additional programs.
Assist in creating innovative approaches fostering relationships with nature.
Attend training sessions and team meetings.
Attract and support volunteers and expand the Institute community services.
Qualifications:
Teaching experience (formal or informal).
Background in psychology, mental health, or education preferred.
Passion for learning, personal development and working with diverse groups.
