27-year-old woman living with cerebral palsy in her own apartment in the City of Alameda is seeking a personal care attendant(s) for the following shifts
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Wednesday overnights 11pm-7am
Sunday 8am-1pm
Saturday, Sunday 4p-7pm
The overnight shift is awake to assist with repositioning; restroom needs or emergencies should they arise.
She needs minimal assistance during transfers between her wheelchair to bedside commode and back. Full assistance with personal hygiene and other activities of daily living such as dressing, and sponge bathing, support for menses hygiene, repositioning. During daytime hours, she would like support for laundry, meal preparation and clean-up and light housekeeping. She wants someone who has the patience needed to teach her new skills and who can help solve problems to learn new tasks that may seem outside her range of current abilities. She wants to learn how to be as independent as possible.
IHSS enrollment is a plus. There may be a combination of IHSS hours and agency funded hours.
Full time agency employees are eligible for medical benefits with a dental plan, vacation time, 401k participation. Bonus is paid for working a minimum 4-hour shift on eligible holidays both for full and part-time employees. Part-time work may lead to full-time employment.
