Position Summary: Under the direction of the agency’s Psychiatrist and in coordination with the Managing Director, Clinical Services, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management services for children, youth, and adults participating in behavioral health programs. The PNP delivers evidence-based, recovery-oriented interventions and psychoeducation to support client wellness, safety, and stability. This position plays an integral role within a multidisciplinary team model, collaborating closely with therapists, case managers and peers, and care coordinators to ensure person-centered and integrated care. Depending on licensure and scope of practice under California law, the PNP may practice independently or in collaboration with a supervising or consulting Psychiatrist. This is a part-time/per-diem position with hours determined by the caseload the practitioner can accommodate. Scheduling is flexible but must align with client availability, primarily in the afternoons and early evenings.

While most services may be delivered via telehealth, preference is given to candidates able to provide some in-person care at the agency’s Fairfield, Napa, and/or Santa Rosa clinics.

Qualifications:

- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatric/mental health specialty (PMHNP) in California. Current DEA registration and furnishing license for prescriptive authority.

- Eligible to practice either independently under California’s expanded Nurse Practitioner scope of practice (per AB 890), or in collaboration with a supervising or consulting Psychiatrist, in accordance with licensure status.

- Experience providing psychiatric assessment and medication management for individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs. Knowledge of psychotic, mood, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and co-occurring substance use conditions.

- Strong commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care. Works collaboratively with caregivers, support people, and multidisciplinary teams. Able to provide clinical education and consultation to other staff members.

- Prior experience in community mental health, Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC), or integrated behavioral health settings preferred.

- Strong computer and technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word, Teams) and knowledge of EHR software.
