We offer community-based services to families living within Solano County and do not offer an actual office site within Solano. Some travel to our Sacramento office site is required in this role.

DESCRIPTION:
The Family and Youth Partnership, Shared Leadership Coordinator has personal experience participating in the system of care as a consumer and/or parent/caregiver and has the skills, training, and experience to perform the functions of a leader and coordinates training, mentoring, and collaboration with community and contract partners. The FYP Shared Leadership Coordinator supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as a consumer or parent/caregiver of a child with a serious emotional disturbance receiving, or having previously received, services within the public systems, including: mental health, child welfare, or juvenile justice.
Basic knowledge of Public Mental Health/Child Welfare/Education systems, and the ability to advocate on the behalf of clients and staff with lived experience in navigating and negotiating those systems.
A minimum of one year experience with advocacy, outreach, coordination, and/or community resources preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work Closely with CWS to develop a structure and vision for the Shared Leadership Advisory Group.
Connect with the community and those impacted by CWS involvement to market the group and develop membership.Attends weekly staff meetings, consultations, and other program staff meetings as scheduled.
Engage, interview, and screen families, youth, and community members to become potential members of the Advisory Group.
Maintains positive relationships with consumers and customers.
Provide an orientation regarding the Advisory group to new members.
Provide support and feedback to the advisory group members as needed.
Facilitate Shared Leadership Advisory Group meetings, at a frequency mutually agreed upon between Solano County CWS partners, and on days/times that work best for the majority of the group.
Create agendas and take notes for all Shared Leadership Advisory Group meetings.
Meet with the Solano CWS Department quarterly.
Maintains accurate and timely records.
Assists Program Director and FYP Manager in program implementation and evaluation.
Bilingual skills are a plus
