We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced administrative professional to join our tax support team. We support roughly 25 Tax Preparers in the preparation and delivery of a very high volume of tax returns. This role collaborates with the other 9 members of the tax support team. This is an in-office position in San Rafael, CA. Our office is a house that has been converted to office space and we offer a casual and comfortable atmosphere in which we take our work seriously and provide excellent customer service.
The person in this role will be responsible for:
- Performing scanning, management and organization of tax documents & related information
- Maintaining excellent communication with all staff via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams
- Assembling paper tax returns, including paper files and paper copies of returns for clients
- Answering phones and providing a superior level of customer service to clients
- Using Adobe to organize and prep tax documents for data entry
- Sending out mail utilizing priority and certified mail
- Downloading and electronically filing documents that have been uploaded securely to our system
- Keeping track of supplies and aiding in ordering
- Assisting clients and tax preparers as needed, as well as other special projects and various tasks
Preference will be given to those with experience using Lacerte, Excel, QuickBooks, DocuSign, ShareFile, Teams, & Outlook. The ideal candidate will have a background in tax, accounting or financial services. There is room for growth for the right person.

Please have at least 3 years previous office experience, preferably in tax, accounting, or financial services.
Job Type: In-office, Full-time, M – F, 9am to 6pm with an hour lunch
Saturdays 10am to 4pm & Weekday overtime during tax season
Overtime hours are paid at time and a half
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour DOE
Expected hours: 40 hours per week in off-season & 45 - 60 hours per week in tax season
