Are you interested in a new career in an exciting growing field of Community Association Management? Learn from an experienced management team what is required to effectively manage Homeowner Associations and grow into managing your own portfolio of communities.

The primary purpose of this position is to develop into a Community Association Manager. This is to be accomplished through assisting and training by a Senior Community Association Manager.

The Community Manager Trainee (MIT) is responsible for their Assistant Managers tasks and the management duties of their selected accounts.

As a Community Association Manager Trainee, your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for entry-level management Assistant and Manager roles of specified HOA clients.

Customer Service; Phone and email support for assigned accounts and back-up support for main line calls.

Responsible for work order processing, vendor coordination and performance monitoring.

Adherence to annual calendar deadlines, including but not limited to, reserve studies, budget mailer, annual election, and all civil code deadlines.

Prepare meeting materials and facilitate monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly board meetings as required for each association.

Drafting of accurate Meeting Minutes

Responsible for Community Email Blasts, as directed

Ensure participation in continued education and working knowledge of case law, California civil codes, and corporation codes related to the community association management industry.

Conduct site inspections for violation tracking and non-compliant issues proactively.

Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships internally and externally.

Organizational and forward planning skills.

Understanding and application of budgeting, finance, contract negotiation, etc.

Must possess intermediate computer skills including experience w/Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience/ Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate’s Degree preferred.

Must have a minimum of one year preferred as an assistant manager or equivalent work or school experience.
