Job Summary:
The Dental Receptionist’s responsibilities include entering patient information onto our data system, answering patient questions, processing insurance, collecting payments, prepare statements, and arrange referrals as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling appointments as needed
- Assisting patients to fill out informational forms
- Preparing patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures
- Prepare treatment plans and document all information such as payment plan
- Updating patient records as needed
- Schedule follow up appointments and provide telephonic reminders
- Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payment
- Verifying methods of payments and collect as needed
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephone, filling, and faxing
- Following all HIPPA and OSHA protocols
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Ability to work with people from ethically and socio-economically diverse backgrounds
- Strong inter-personal and effective communications
- Ability to work independently and in team environment
- Experience in Open Dental is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Chinese required
- 2 years of dental receptionist/dental scheduling experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
