The Executive Assistant is responsible for maintaining social media presence as well as maintaining a functional USDA meat processing plant. This includes all front of house and back of house operations. They focus on follow through and attention to detail for all HR, SSOP, USDA, and maintenance related paperwork/resolutions. Communication with the General Manager and the Owners is essential for determining priorities.
With experience, this Assistant can lead the whole team and make important split second decisions that are in the best interest of the company. They keep a broad view of the plant operations and understand when and where the workforce and production should be, steering employees accordingly. Keeping calm and collected in a stressful risk oriented environment is of utmost importance for making sound decisions.
Key Performance Outcomes:
-Maintain social media posting calendar and draft monthly newsletter
-USDA related paperwork and corrective action dealt with in timely fashion
-HR checklists are completed immediately upon Termination and New Hire
-Labeling Integrity - All new logos and Product IDs must be up to date and approved
-Production meetings are held and documented per SSOP with designated frequency
Key Responsibilities:
-Confirm pricing for Wholesale and retail are updated weekly to guarantee expected margin
-Communicate with Cut and Wrap customers in regards to scheduling and cut instructions
-Defer to management when a problem can’t be solved but make all attempts to resolve every issue immediately
-Help Manage production and expense reports daily, and sales reports weekly
-Oversee invoicing and double check for accuracy
-Be contact point for vendors and service technicians
-Communication with USDA and state inspectors required.
-Mechanical issues dealt with immediately
Qualifications:
3+ years in Leadership, Management, or similar production environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
