California Special Foods is a small food manufacturer located in Hollister, CA. We are currently expanding our team and are looking for a FULL-TIME Office/Customer Service Manager who is positive, self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills. We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and hardworking team member who can commit to a long-term position.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

1. Strong people and communication skills. Strengthen and build relationships through frequent daily interaction with staff, customers, and suppliers. Serve as point of contact for employees in the organization and provide support as needed. You enjoy the challenge of balancing multiple requests and tasks.

2. Planning and organization. Maintain, implement, and improve systems to handle flow of office and information.

3. General office duties included but not limited to answering phone calls, data entry (Scanning/digitizing records, Google Drive, Excel, Google Calendar, Microsoft Office), organizing files and filing paperwork for shipping etc. You will learn our workflow management/Inventory management/shipping/Accounting software; previous work with a program like QuickBooks will be helpful but will be taught as well.

Answering phone and emails

Creating production work orders

Creating and sending invoices, and payment collections

Communicating with customers and suppliers

Arranging shipping and receiving

Ordering materials

Coordinating with the production team to ensure orders are shipped on time

4. Assist with other administrative needs of the organization as necessary

Desired Qualifications:

Previous administrative support experience

Excellent client service, friendly and welcoming attitude.

Proficiency with computers (MS Office)/internet

Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills are required.

Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision or on coordinated activities.

Attention to detail is very important.

This position is great for a well-organized, self-motivated individual, a key decision-maker who works well independently without much supervision, and as part of a team. Someone with a ‘roll-up your sleeves and help with whatever needs doing’ attitude.
