As Packaging Specialist, you will be a key member of the Packaging Technology Commercialization Team and will be responsible for the facilitation of packaging changes for the Company. This includes but is not limited to: Maintenance and control of packaging information; Develop Package Change Notices (PCN); Communication with the Data & Analytics team (D&A) for Material Master updates and Bill of Material (BOM) set-up; Manage and control proofing process for all new proofs; Submit labels to Compliance for Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) approval; Provide required information to begin State Registration process.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate on work documents/SOPs for the Specialist job function.
Facilitate packaging changes and NPDs through Operations.
Review proofs and verify information to provide for an accurate internal approval of printed packaging components.
Review die lines and packaging specs as approved by Packaging Engineering.
Administer the documentation, maintenance, and control of packaging:
Create and publish Package Change Notices (PCN), so that package changes are accurately reflected in SAP and Intellapac and communicated to the manufacturing groups.
Provide direction to D&A for Material Master and Bill of Material set-up, request SCC and UPC codes.
Author and monitor the Wine Label Verification (WLV) form in Intellapac to ensure legal information is accurately reflected on packaging components.
Create component and Finished Good specifications in Intellapac two weeks prior to bottling.
Identify packaging components that may require submission for TTB approval, assure components meet known compliance regulations, and submit proofs to Compliance for TTB submittal and approval.
Submit NCRs to Customer Service to begin the State Registration process.
Identify and coordinate the application of NABCA and state codes for printing on shippers.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree and 3+ years of applicable work experience.
Knowledge and experience working in the wine industry.
Experience working with database systems and ERPs.
Excellent Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills.
Experience/Training in graphics/proofing.
Experience working in a systems development/project management support environment.
Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Excellent communications and collaboration skills.
Detail oriented.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Sciences.
Knowledge of SAP, experience with Informatica and/or Intellapac.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Work Environment: - Works outdoors/indoors - Works in warm/cold climates - Works on wet surfaces - Can be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals - Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic - Must be able to move up to 55 lbs - Primary office environment may be tasting room/barrel room (For Hospitality Roles)
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Travel Required: 10-25%. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a car and travel via plane/train as needed.

The salary range for this role is:
$69,500.00 - $102,100.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
